Have you thought about a micro wedding?

The wedding planning landscape has undergone significant changes in 2020, and I'm here to share some exciting news and invaluable insights I've gained over the past few months.

Who am I? I'm Chelsea, a seasoned Maine wedding photographer with 5 years of experience capturing beautiful moments in the Maine area.

In the midst of challenges, I've collaborated with couples since March to reshape their wedding plans, and here's what I've learned:

Small is Better:

In the past, wedding guest counts and expenses often spiraled out of control due to external pressures. This year, consider it an opportunity to craft the wedding you truly desire. Take control of your guest list, inviting only the most important people in your life.

Quality Time with Everyone:

Smaller weddings allow you to spend meaningful time with each guest, fostering a more intimate and personal atmosphere.

Cost Savings:

Couples in 2020 are enjoying substantial cost savings. Redirect the money you save to enhance other aspects of your celebration.

Flexibility in Venue:

Micro weddings open up exciting possibilities for unique venues—forests, waterfalls, and intimate restaurants become viable options, allowing for a more creative and personalized experience.

Better Wedding Photos:

Simplified weddings mean less stress, resulting in more relaxed and natural photographs. With micro weddings, we have the flexibility to schedule photos at the ideal time, ensuring optimal lighting conditions.

How to Plan the Best Micro Wedding:

Choose Your Dream Location:

The rulebook is out; pick a location that resonates with you. Parks, businesses, and venues are now more accommodating, making your dream location a reality.

Invest in Quality Vendors:

Allocate some of your savings to bring in top-notch vendors. This is your chance to work with professionals who can make your dream wedding a reality.

Create an Intimate Reception:

With a smaller guest count, you have the flexibility to set up a small reception anywhere you desire. This is the year to turn your dream reception location into a reality.

To Capture the Best Photographs:

Schedule for Ideal Lighting:

Plan your ceremony around the optimal time for photos—approximately 2 hours before sunset—for stunning, well-lit images.

Hire a Photographer for 2-3 Hours:

Enlist my services for 2-3 hours to cover getting ready, the ceremony, family photos, and shots of the couple. Custom packages are available for reception coverage.

Relaxing Candid Photography:

My photography style is primarily candid, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable experience on your special day.
