The best time for maternity photography is between 32-36 weeks of pregnancy when your belly is beautifully round but you’re still comfortable enough for posing. However, every pregnancy is unique, and I’m happy to accommodate earlier or later sessions based on your needs.
To ensure availability, I recommend booking your maternity session around 12-15 weeks gestation. This also gives us time to discuss outfit choices, location preferences, and the option of bundling your maternity session with a newborn photography package for a seamless storytelling experience.

One of the first things I tell expecting parents is this:
You do not have to have it all figured out.
You do not need to know what colors to wear, what to bring, how to calm your baby, or even what to do with your hands in photos. That is what I am here for.
Before your session, we will plan everything together. If you want your photos to match your nursery, send me a picture. If you are stuck on outfits, I will help. If your baby decides they would rather stay awake the entire session, that is okay too. Babies do not follow schedules, and I never expect them to.
When you arrive, I want you to feel like you have handed your baby to someone you trust. I will guide the posing, soothe when needed, pause for feedings, and work around whatever your little one needs that day.
More often than not, I end up telling parents to sit back and relax while I do the rest.
This season goes by faster than anyone warns you about. My job is to preserve it in a way that feels genuine, relaxed, and true to your family, so years from now, you will not just remember what your baby looked like.

My home studio is separate from my living space, offering a peaceful environment for you and your baby. When To Schedule Your Newborn Session
As we know, due dates are only an estimate—your little one will arrive on their own schedule! Because of this, I take a limited number of bookings each month to ensure flexibility when babies arrive early or later than expected.
To guarantee your session, I recommend reserving your spot during your second trimester. Babies don't read calendars. They come whenever they feel like it.
That's exactly why I only take a limited number of due dates every month. If your little one decides to show up two weeks early (or keep us waiting), we'll simply adjust. The ideal time for newborn photography is between 5-14 days after birth, when babies are still sleepy and easily posed for those soft, dreamy images.
