The Magic of Motherhood
For weeks I was scouring the internet looking for the perfect dress for these sessions. Finally, I stumbled onto a gorgeous mauve pink tulle ruffled gown - and fell in love! Would you believe this is actually a maternity dress as well?! My vision was elegant, extra, and timeless all wrapped into one. My next goal was to find a model. Luckily, I have been photographing Mason and her son, Oliver, since his newborn session in 2021.
All About The Session
Once the session was underway, Oliver had a ton of personality in front of the camera and was loving all the ridiculous noises and silly faces my assistant and I were making to keep his attention. And if we're being truthful here - he was also living his best life without the restraints of a diaper (LOL).
Mason was just glowing throughout the entire session and was making my vision come to fruition! Typically pink and tulle are not her style, but she stepped out of her comfort zone and trusted the process. I love when I can let my creativity flow, and by the end of the session, we were all in love with even just the raw images on my tiny camera screen.
Outfit Number Two
Moving on to the second outfit we had planned; Oliver was back in his diaper and a simple black romper (also from my client closet). Once again, Mason was putting her trust in me as we encouraged her to try on the black bodysuit - and let me tell you: when she walked out, it was so perfect!
Are we (my assistant and I) going to be your personal hype women? Yes. The answer is always yes.
Throughout this shoot, I was gathering behind-the-scenes footage to create a personalized video Mason could have and share with friends and family. The Motherhood Sessions will be offered year-round and will be styled from pieces in my client closet. I would love to capture the special bond between you and your children!
