A Wedding Like No Other
As a dedicated Maine photographer based in Vassalboro (nestled between Augusta and Waterville) I find immense joy in immortalizing the special moments of life through my lens. This past fall, I had the honor of associate-shooting a wedding at Agassiz Village Summer Camp in Poland, Maine, for the talented photographer Ashley Vallee.
The day commenced at a charming waterfront Airbnb, where the radiant bride prepared for her journey down the aisle. Thoughtful gifts and heartfelt letters exchanged with her parents evoked tears of love and joy, setting the emotional tone for the day.
Moving to the outdoor amphitheater for the ceremony, surrounded by the picturesque beauty of nature, the couple exchanged vows. The amphitheater's unique setting added a touch of enchantment to the occasion, creating a backdrop that complemented the love shared between the newlyweds.
Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a vibrant reception filled with laughter and joy. The warm autumn day, with temperatures soaring close to 80 degrees, created a unique atmosphere. As a photographer dressed in all black, I couldn't help but feel the heat, a small sacrifice for capturing these precious moments.
Cocktail hour was an unforgettable experience, featuring a live band that added a harmonious soundtrack to the celebration. The Quarry Tap Room from Hallowell, Maine, provided impeccable bartending services, ensuring that guests indulged in a delightful experience.
The night culminated in a breathtaking display of fireworks, lighting up the sky and symbolizing the explosive love between the newlyweds. The blend of heartfelt moments, live music, exquisite catering, and a grand finale of fireworks made this wedding a truly unforgettable celebration.
