Meeting Audrey & Her Daughter
When I first started advertising the Motherhood Sessions, I had an abundance of familiar names scrolling across my screen booking all my time slots. But the name who took the very last spot on day two of our busy weekend was one I didn't recognize. All I had was her name and the age of her baby.
Audrey walked in with a beautiful 3-month-old baby girl. As we buzzed through all of our Motherhood Sessions earlier in the day, we anxiously awaited to see who would walk through the front doors of my home studio at 3:30.
Well - in breezed Audrey, smiley, outgoing, and eager to start!
Getting To Know Each Other
As it turns out, she had seen my work through a mutual friend who modeled the Motherhood Sessions for me - and who had actually styled her hair for this session!
Nora, her 3-month-old, was wide awake and ready to take some pictures! Nora was happiest and most smiley when her mum was bouncing her in the air and giving lots of kisses, something you can tell is done often at home.
Audrey is a busy mum who works full-time tending to her horses. She told us she often isn't home until 8pm, and that she had told her husband she was busy at the barn the day of her Motherhood Session! (A little white lie never hurt anyone - lol.)
Capturing Beautiful Moments
The session continued with lots of laughs, a little accident from a naked baby, and some stunning shots. We found out that these pictures were actually a surprise for her husband - who was going to be deployed within the next couple of months.
Both mine and my assistant's hearts were bursting at the thought of how wonderful a proud dad and husband showing off his beautiful wife and daughter to his friends and fellow soldiers was. I could picture him looking to them in stressful times for comfort, strength, and courage.
As a photographer, one of the many joys I have is meeting and hearing wonderful stories from my clients - and this one was one of my favorites to date.
